Watercolor Bird

I am actually very pleased with the coloring on this bird for my friend at church, I watercolored it with the spectrum aqua markers and then cut it out, everything seemed to blend so well.

Bird stamp colored w/Spectrum Aqua Essentials markers
Cosmo Cricket -- Flueriste paper
Spellbinders -- Delicate Doiles and sentiment one dies
Martha Stewart -- Border punch

We are on our last day of VBS, it has been a good week, very tiring week but a good one.  My knees are telling me they are thankful this is the last day.  I hope to get caught up on all your blogs very soon.... I don't know how you women that work and have young kids do it all, I applaud you :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Oh, Connie, what a beautiful card, and I just love this sweet bird. Yes, it's beautifully colored and so realistic. And I love the doily with the MS punch border in black with the HB dies too. Beautiful background paper to tie it all together. Beautifully done, my friend. Ah, yes, VBS is a LOT of work, and it's hard work too but such a blessing to so many children and their families. Well, women who work and have young kids are younger than we are, my friend. That's one thing. Ha! Wishing you a restful weekend to catch up on sleep and relax! Hugs!

How lovely! The darker brown and black accents always pop out the beautiful soft colors. Your bird is truly beautifully done, Connie! The doily is a perfect splash of white to bring out Nature's best in your card. Thanks for sharing, Connie! hugs, de

I love anything that has to do with birds, and this is a really beautiful stamp. Your coloring turned out great and I love how you cut it out and set it against the doily. That little leafy border strip is just perfect and it all looks wonderful with the designer paper you chose!
