Happy Halloween

Decided to make a card at the last minute for my Daughter and Son in law, I sent along some coupons I thought they could use inside :)

I love the Scrapbook Calendar for those times when I want to get a card out quickly and I don't have much time, the papers and images are from the Calendar.

Here is a pic of my Daughter and I at the Farm we went to a couple weeks ago.

I still have to carve my pumpkin for tonight and get the candy ready to hand out,
Have a Great week,

28th Anniversary

My Hubby and I are celebrating 28 years today.  A small town south of St. Louis over in Missouri is having an Apple butter Festival and are advertising alot of craft booths, so we are heading over there today :)

I used DCWV Rustic paper stack.

Sentiment is from Hot off the press cardmakers quotes.  Highlighting some of the words with chalk.

The heart  from Paperbilities had a country theme plaid print on the top and I added glitter from the Art glitter dawn to dusk set.  The heart was in a package of things my sister sent to me that she had bought thinking she would use them but when cleaning out decided to give to me, that is how we are different she can give away her stuff, I just hoard it all thinking I may use it some day, that's why her craft space looks cleaner than mine :)

As you can imagine I had glitter all over the place, but I love how it matched the paper and goes along with the sentiment!

I feel trully blessed that the Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband, who is so Loving, understanding and caring.  He makes me laugh every day!

Blue Flowers

I really need to find something a little more original to name my post, LOL!

My husband asked me if I would make cards for his Dad's Christmas gift this year. We found him a really cool box at Hobby Lobby to give them to him and he can use it after he is done with sending out the cards.  I feel funny about giving cards as gifts, and I am use to only making cards for the person I am giving them to, I hardly ever make a card not knowing who it will be going to. I figured this will give me hopefully confidence to make the cards for our church's craft sale next month.

I will be making two of each type of card, hopefully one that can be more  for a man and one more for a woman, we will see how that goes :)
In both cards Images and Papers are from the Scrapbooking calendar, maybe I should post a picture sometime so you can see what I am talking about for those who don't know.
This card uses the spellbinder Fleur DeLis Rectangle for framing and spellbinder die for the Hero Arts Everyday sayings sentiment stamp set.

This one used the Spellbinder deckle edge for the framing and the sentiment is from Hero arts Birthday wishes sentiment stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Birthday Birdie

Sketch from Papercrafts card ideas page 34. I used DCWV, Basicgrey and Cardstock for all  the panels.
Hero Arts Birthday message stamp set for the Sentiment and little birdie, I colored it with Copics and Tombow markers.

The buttons are a Flea market find.  Used Floss to stitch them together.

Such a Beautiful day yesterday was able to get my garden ready for winter, except I need to get some Hay to go over my strawberries, my hubby said he will take care of that though :)  I still have some green peppers on some of my plants but they were too small to use.  We didn't like how the topsy turvy did with the tomatoes, don't think we will try that again.

Hope your week is going well,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

HOTP Tags

Good Monday Morning, it is nice and sunny and 59 this morning, AHHHH Fall, I love it!!!  Although they are telling us it is going to get to the freezing point at night by the end of the week.

I have alot of Male Birthday cards to make each Fall.  This tag came from the Tag Art book #2 from Paper Pizazz and Hot off the press. I stamped Birthday using PSX alphabet stamps and embossed in Gold to go with the leaves that were allready on the tag.  The Happy happy stamp from Hero arts was also embossed in gold.

I wish the copper metalic background would have shown up better in the paper from DCWV Natural stack.  The torn piece of DCWV Once Upon a time paper was scored too and I inked over the embossed areas.

We had a great time with the kids on Saturday at the Farm, we couldn't have asked for nicer weather, of course the time went by way too quickly and now I am looking forward to seeing them at Thanksgiving :)

Wishing you a GREAT week ahead,
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Diamond Rings

I wasn't too sure about buying Martha Stewart punch around the page until they made it easier to use, now they have markings on the newer ones that help you line everything up and when I saw this pattern I thought it was neat, it made me think of those old iron fences and I used paper behind it that I hoped made it look like there was a flowering bush on the other side.

This is on it's way to a friend in England, so it couldn't be too bulky.  I used the Martha Stewart punch all over the page in the Diamond Rings pattern, on Kraft cardstock.
Basicgrey Origins paper pack for the background.

McGill baby blooms punch for the flowers, and I added a dot of Pearl pen in the centers in the color Bronze.

Sizzix Leaf branch die.

Martha Stewart Scalloped tag with Impression Obession sentiment stamp.

Hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend.  Our daughter and Son-in-law are coming up this weekend to go to a Fall Festival at one of the local farms that our Sunday School class is going to, we rent an area for a bonfire that we roast hot dogs and of course have smores, they have hayrides and shooting pumpkins out of a canon, just a lot of fun, but more than all the fun, I just can't wait to see the kids, she has been so busy with college so haven't had a chance to see them much.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Darcie stamps

Well my Brother in laws birthday was yesterday, asked my sister if he got this card and she said no.  Now I live in Southern Illinois, and my sister lives in Southern Michigan, you would think 3 days would be enough to get the card there, I guess I am going to have to get them out in the mail 4 days prior now. Can't imagine what it will be like if they quit delivering on Saturdays.

Ok enough complaining, this is from a set of Darcie stamps, looked all over the packaging and can't find a name of the set anywhere but did find this code, just incase your interested... JCS0158.

Squirrel and nut were colored with distress inks, let me tell you that nut is pretty small to cut out, I hope it stays on.  Memento ink on the trunk of the tree and chalk inks for the leaves.  All this was layered onto a piece of Basicgrey Basics white paper cut out with a spellbinders Labels Three die.

Base paper is G.C.D. Studios Loverly papers.

Sentiment is from the same Darcie stamp set and is on a Spellbinder Grommet tag die, used MM fall brads, and some twine from my LSS.  Inking around the paper and Kraft cardstock base.

It's a rainy and chilly 45 degrees right now...... Yuck, and Peanut doesn't like going out in the wet cold, she would rather be cuddled under her comforter.

I am almost done with my quilt that is for my Mother in law, but I will wait and share it until after she has seen it first :)

Robotz

Robotz Cricut Cartridge, I added a bit of dots here and there, this is for a pre teen nephew.

I used the sketch from Papercrafts card ideas page 138.

On the spellbinders Labels nine I embossed with silver embossing powder twice to give it that sheen, it was hard to take a picture and not get a reflection even with the flash off.

Sassafras paper for the background, used what was in my scraps for the actual robot.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and I added Melissa Frances glass glitter to the center.
Martha Stewart punch border from tan cardstock.

Woke up this morning to a very chilly 48 degrees, oh my, we had 80's yesterday..... Fall is in the air :)
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,
Thank you for all the kind comments on my dragon card, and for taking the time to stop by,

Dragon Celebrate

Dragon, the tag and symbol are all from the Pagoda Cricut cartridge. I added the eye it looked weird to me without it :)
Studio G Sentiment stamp was embossed with green embossing powder.
Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby papers were cut using the Fiskar Upper Crest punch, did a bit of inking around the edges.

This is going to one of my nephews who is in his 20's and he is very artistic, I am hoping he thinks this is cool :)

Wishing you all a Beautiful Fall weekend....

Sending Sunshine and Laughter

Using the Sketch from Papercrafts card ideas Magazine page 54, I took Epoxy stickers of stamps and applied them to cardstock, cut that out with my Fiskars Stamp Paper Edger scissor.  Added a bit of distress ink to tone it down.

Sassafras layered onto DCWV papers.  Inking around the edges of the kraft cardstock base.

Sentiment is from the Hero Arts Everyday sayings stamp set.

There you go a quick masculine card :)

Hope your having a good week,

Fall Wishes

My Daughter is taking her GRE again tomorrow, the first time she aced one part but the math part she didn't fair so well so this is to let her know we are praying for good results in the math section this time around.

Cuttlebug Script embossing folder was used on Kraft cardstock, I added a little ink to the embossing folder before embossing.

Silk Leaves.  Hero arts all occasion messages stamp set for the sentiment and leaves on either side.

Hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend, and are able to see a bit of fall colors in your neck of the woods :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

With Sympathy

Cloud 9 design stamp from Flower 1 set.  Colored with markers.  Mounted on a Spellbinder Circle and  Eyelet circles dies.

Martha Stewart Border punch, that I punched on each side of the paper but I ended up not liking all that bare space so I added a piece of the background paper on top of it.

American crafts ribbon and sentiment from Paper salons simply sentimental set.

DCWV Old World Stack paper.

Peanut is doing much better, haven't tried taking her for a walk yet, afraid she wouldn't even make it around the block and I pulled my back sweeping yesterday, so don't want to have to carry her around.

Hope your all enjoying Beautiful fall weather as we are,
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment, it's much appreciated,
Connie

New Baby

The feet and hand stamps are from Stampcraft.  Sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farm.
Basicgrey paper.
Squares cut out with Spellbinder die and two have been pop dotted to come to the same level as the flowers that were cut out with Cuttlebug die with felt.  I misted the top flower and the lace with Mist spray.
Brad on bottom is also Basicgrey, sorry I don't remember the maker of the top one.
This sketch is from the Papercrafts card ideas page 76.

This has been such a busy weekend that I didn't manage to do any cardmaking, can you beleive that cardmaking day and all and there was no cardmaking done in this house, so sad.  I have to make one today though in order to get it out in the mail today, I am hoping it won't be late as it is.

Hope you all were able to do a bit of creating this weekend,
It's a beautiful day and suppose to be a wonderful week, so hoping I get some time to do a little work outside and gets some walks in, don't know if Peanut is up for it yet or not but she is able to lift her head and has managed to do a few steps, so she's improving!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Prima Donna Petals

Awhile back I mentioned I went to a Stamp store in St. Louis well I picked up this Die-namics Die called Prima Donna Petals, I liked all the different shapes and that it makes a dimensional flower, but not to big, I am able to still mail it without extra postage.  I am not sure what papers I used for the flowers it was in my scrap pile.  A dew drop for the center of the flower. I added a spellbinder foliage die with the flower.

Background papers are Cosmo Cricket.
Spellbinders Lacy squares for the sentiment stamp which is an Anita stamp.
That pretty lace is from Sabrina.
I added little pearls to the Martha Stewart punched border.

I usually try to post on Friday's but we ended up running to the Vet unexpectedly, our dog Peanut was all of a sudden not wanting to lay down much and won't lift her head and so we took her in to see whats up.  She gets really bad allergies and when she licks herself so much she tends to get infections and such, she was put on antibotics and predisone so hopefully she will be feeling relief real soon.  She hasn't been doing stairs all that well so it is up to me to go out with her everytime she needs to use the rest room so a bit more work.
Well I had better get going, I have a Baby shower to go to this morning. Busy weekend around here.
Hope you all are enjoying this fall weather,
Take care and have a great weekend,
Thanks so much for stopping by,
